By The Gaze is a Jaipur-based studio creating handcrafted, made-to-order accent furniture. Because each piece is crafted to order and hand-finished by our artisans, our timelines and delivery process differ from mass-produced furniture. This policy explains how your order is made, packed, and delivered.

Order Processing

Every By The Gaze piece is crafted to order. We do not hold finished stock. Production of your piece begins only after your payment has been confirmed.

Payments are processed securely via Razorpay. By The Gaze does not store your card details; all payment information is handled by Razorpay.

Delivery Timelines

As each item is made to order and hand-finished, please allow time for craft:

  • Furniture (such as side tables, lounge chairs, pedestals and larger pieces): delivered within 5–6 weeks.
  • Smaller items (such as ottomans, poufs and stools): processed within 7–15 days.

These timelines begin once payment is confirmed and run through to dispatch. Transit time to your address is in addition to the production period and varies by location within India.

Packaging

Your piece is packed in a custom wooden crate designed to protect every detail in transit. This careful packing reflects the same attention given to making the piece itself.

Please examine your shipment carefully on arrival. If you notice any damage, report it to us promptly — within 48 hours of delivery — along with clear photographs of the packaging and the item. Reporting damage within this window allows us to resolve the issue quickly with you and the carrier.

Delivery & Access

Standard delivery includes ground-floor access. If your delivery requires higher-floor access, lift use, or any special access arrangements, please let us know in advance so we can arrange this with you individually.

You will receive an SMS confirmation before delivery so you can be ready to receive your piece.

Storage

We offer complimentary storage for up to 2 weeks after your piece is ready, should you need a little more time before delivery. Extended storage can be arranged on request — simply get in touch with us.
